FAQ (or are they?)

July 2nd, 2010

Q: I love your work man!
A: Is that a question? Thank you for your comments, they are pretty much the only thing I desire from those who watch my films. I primarily do all of my film work for the fun of doing it. Believe it or not this is my hobby, and all of you are along for the ride on this crazy thing.

Q: Will you do this – *Insert Random Idea*?
A: I’ll take it into consideration, but please note that I usually have a steady production queue of my own ideas. My suggestion is that if you think it’s a great idea, why don’t you try doing it. Believe me it’s an awesome experience seeing your ideas come to life.

Q: Whats with the twitter update on the sidebar?
A: The twitter update is primarily to update you, the fans (hopefully), of whats going on production wise currently with MYP. As the glue postings are usually very occasional (like when I have an actual announcement or am releasing something new) I usually post small updates on whats going on there. I usually will also post there first when I release something new early. So if you really want to stay on top of everything, or you’re just an OCD stalker, follow me on twitter.

Q: I’m a, Cameraman/Editor/Actor/Voice actor, and would love to be considered for any work you put out.
A: I’m always open to help with the productions I work on. More than likely though, since I am a small production company, I’ll be doing everything in house, locally, and with friends and family (IE: I don’t pay….anything…usually ever). So if you’re still interested and dying to work for no money….well I’m sure I can find something, but you’d be better off applying to another production house. (Voice actors and body actors can be a different matter though pay=nothing still applies unless otherwise stipulated, click here to contact me and to send your resume and voice sample).

Q: I like your site/random video if I paid you would you design/shoot my site/random video?
A: In the past MYP may have taken on small film jobs for commission work from clients. This was simply to pay the bills and to allow a means of alternative income. However, MYP current policy is to not produce any work other than what it wants to produce. This includes all web design, film, and editing work. The reasoning for this, is that I no longer want MYP to be associated with anything other than production for the sake of producing something that I think/hope is worth watching, this is hopefully for the benefit of you the fans.

Q: What if I like your work and want to donate to you (IE:bribe you work faster)?

A: Simply put….NO. Your viewership and complements are more than enough. Should you feel overly compelled to donate to our fine work and will not be dissuaded from doing so, please note that there are many honorable charities (Doctors Without Boarders, etc.) that we would be honored for you to donate to in our name or yours as this does not matter, the gift and its benefit to those it helps is all that truly matters.
If donating to charity is for some reason something that you don’t want to do, donate to a local artist. Believe it or not art is their actual job and most will actually have trouble making ends meet. Who knows, if you become a steady patron and they become famous, you could be in on the ground floor of something cool.
