Quick Hit about the State of Tango Squad - Guard Duty

June 29th, 2009

The Glue:

Ok I’m going to make this a short little blurb this week and get back to the real glue next week. As many of you know from last week, Tango Squad - Guard Duty Episode 6 was supposed to be released last week on Monday. Due to the Machinima Partnership, I re-uploaded all of the episodes for the series back onto Machinima, and they are being uploaded 1 a day until all are posted. What this means is that Episode 6 should be available Monday afternoon if all things hold serve. I do apologize for the tardiness, but it shouldn’t be long now.

I do hope you have enjoyed my first delve into Machinima, and allowing my work to entertain you. It has been quite the learning experience and from what I’ve learned, I can only improve from this point. I hope to make my films more entertaining, longer, and better developed in the future. This includes all series (including ACT 2 of Tango Squad…Yes there should be an Act 2), and all Live action as well.

Anyways, enough of my rambling…till next week…

The Glue:
Today I’m going to be making an announcement regarding some misc issues pertaining to Tango Squad. I am pleased to announce that from now on all of MYP machinima will be appearing on Machinima.com per a new partnership. What does this mean to you the viewer? Not all that much actually. You’ll still be able to view all MYP machinima, it will simply be at Machinima.com and on Machinima.com’s Youtube channel. You will still be able to find the links to all of the machinima on my page or on my youtube page. Other than that, I will still be providing the highest quality machinima I can do, and this partnership will in no way influence any content posted or created.

Back to the main announcement, I’m also releasing the final episode of  Tango Squad Act 1 for your enjoyment. I hope that perhaps, some of you have been waiting for it, if not I understand…there have to be other cool things to watch instead of this. Either way I do appreciate your patience and loyalty to this series. I do hope that you enjoy it. The episode has been uploaded, and barring incident should be available now. Keep an eye out.

The sixth and final episode of this act, while this may be a lot of dialogue it completes the Act and will bridge the story to the next Act. Enjoy!

And that’s all for now, enjoy the episode. Again as always, thanks to the greatness of Bungie and Microsoft, for the license to create machinima and to use the Halo soundtrack as well. I hope you enjoy.

So for now, I’ll be moving on to do a bit more work in other areas, but I will revisit Tango Squad when the time is right. Until then be on the lookout for other items that I’ll be working on. Next week, however, you’ll probably be getting another “commentary.” I hope you enjoy.

Till next week….

The Glue:
For Today’s Glue, I’m releasing another episode of Tango Squad for your enjoyment. I hope that perhaps, some of you have been waiting for it, if not I understand…there have to be other cool things to watch instead of this. This episode sees the squad under heavy fire…and whats worse, the squad attacking them…have their sights set on a certain item in the bunker.

That’s it this week so, enjoy the episode. Again as always, thanks to the greatness of Bungie and Microsoft, for the license to create machinima and to use the Halo soundtrack as well. I hope you enjoy.

We’re in the home stretch now, just one more episode next week, I hope you’ll stay around for it.

Till next week….

The Glue:
For Today’s Glue, I’m releasing another episode of Tango Squad for your enjoyment. As promised this is the first of the three final releases for this month of Tango Squad. Either way I do appreciate your patience and loyalty to this series. I do hope that you enjoy it.

The episode’s title is “attacked,” and I believe that is pretty self explanatory as to the overall plot of the episode. I had a great deal more fun making this episode than previous others, and hope to carry forward that momentum into the rest of the remaining two episodes for the season. Again you should expect episode 5 next week barring any incident. I’ll also have a bit of commentary wrapping up the season when I release the following week’s episode 6.

Anyways, that’s it this week so, enjoy the episode. Again as always, thanks to the greatness of Bungie and Microsoft, for the license to create machinima and to use the Halo soundtrack as well. I hope you enjoy.

Till next week….

Unexpected E3 Comment

June 3rd, 2009
r3182630215Oh boy…did they FAIL again?

The Glue:
And here I thought I wasn’t going to post anything this week. Well, seeing as this week is E3…I couldnt’ resist getting a few quick thoughts on my two primary gaming systems. This may or may not be brief, but we’ll see where it goes.

Microsoft:
I wasn’t overall surprised with what Microsoft put out to show. That isn’t to say that I wasn’t impressed. Alan Wake, ODST’s Demo (Which looks more interesting than I first thought), the surprise of Halo Reach (Yay I just started reading that!), and several other items that looked insanely interesting, including a new motion technology allowing the player to play and interact with the system with “facial recognition” and complete tracking data for controller-less gaming. Very Cool. Overall I wasn’t surprised, because I expected MSFT to have a good showing. It’s one of the primary reasons they are my main console, and they did not dissapoint. Grade: A.

Nintendo:
Well here we come to the brass tacks, and what I’ve been wondering about for a whole year since their miserable showing at last years E3. Can they deliver and come back from the dead? I believe this comic symbolizes my sentiment. Their show seemed destined to disappoint. Yes, it had a few nice little additives with Super Mario Galaxy 2, but then there was the dread of the Wii “BIO SENSOR?” I thought they were kidding around when they pulled that crap. I was almost ready to say goodbye to Nintendo forever. And then….the end of the show, it happened, something that pulled their craptastic show out of the ditch, the New trailer for Metroid. Now just when I thought they were done with me for good..and that they couldn’t do anything more stupid…..and they go and do this….and redeem themselves (slightly).  The game looks amazing, though its early, and we’ll have to wait another year for it to rear its head. However, this does not completely let Nintendo off the hook in my opinion.  They gave us the smallest taste of Zelda at a Roundtable with Shigi, but that does not excuse them from all of the crappy showings of last year. Hopefully they’ll have something to show us on Zelda next year, but….have I had enough? Have they finally pushed me away? The answer…No…I believe they’ve done enought to placate my interests for one more year…I’ll continue to use my 360 in more respects than my Wii at any time, however I’ll reserve judgement, when these new games all come to fruition…then I’ll decide whether Nintendo is dead to me or not. Grade: B- for now.

For any of you interested in the Sony conference…sorry I wasn’t too interested seeing as I don’t have a PS3…not knocking it or anything, but it’s just not for me at this point. The future may change that, but I don’t see it right now. Check out IGN if you want more on all that.

Anyways, I’m beat, but I should have Tango Squad out on time next week, and we’ll see where this Magical Mystery Tour takes us. Till then….
